FAQ

Some questions & some answers

What areas do you cover?

We cover mainland England and Wales. This means if your loved one has passed away anywhere in mainland England or Wales we can take care of their repatriation.

How much does a Repatriation cost?

Our Service costs £1,995 plus the flight cost for the deceased to the final destination. Contact us for a full quotation including flight costs to the destination of your choice.

Can we dress our loved one?

Yes, we will collect the clothing from you along with the necessary documents. After embalming, your loved one will be dressed in the clothing you have provided.

Is our loved one embalmed?

Yes, as per airline regulations, your loved one will be embalmed to help keep their body preserved and sanitised. If your loved one is Muslim we can often avoid embalming.

Can we view our loved one?

Yes you can visit your loved one in our Chapel of Rest by prior appointment. This will be at either our West Midlands or West London premises.

What about a Coffin?

We include a simple coffin which is hermetically sealed to meet airline regulations. This coffin can be used for burial or cremation upon arrival in the final destination.

How long does the process take?

The repatriation process usually takes 5-10 days from the moment we are provided with the death certificate and passport copies. This may vary in more complex cases.

Which countries do you repatriate to?

We can repatriate your loved one to any country so long as there is a direct or one-stop flight from the UK. Call us for a quotation based on the destination of your choice.

What about the paperwork?

We take care of the necessary paperwork where possible. Embassy fees will be added to the cost of the repatriation. Occasionally embassies or consulates require family participation in obtaining permits.

Can we hold a Funeral Service?

We can help you to arrange a Funeral Service and bring your loved one to a venue of your choice. Additional costs apply for vehicles and staff required.

Can we fly with our loved one?

We will provide you with the flight details once confirmed. You can then book tickets on to the same flight if you wish.

Can we send luggage?

Luggage can be sent at an additional cost, however most clients opt to take luggage themselves due to high charges by airlines.
